Extensive adenomatoid odontogenic tumor associated with dentigerous cyst in maxilla: report of an unusual case
A 12-year-old male patient was referred for evaluation of an expansive lesion in the left maxilla region. Computed tomography showed a hypodense lesion with well-defined margins measuring approximately 5 cm in its larger diameter associated with included left canine. Complete enucleation of the lesion was performed jointly with removal of the impacted tooth. Histopathologic examination revealed a benign lesion originating from the odontogenic epithelium characterized by proliferation of cuboid and spindle epithelial cells arranged predominantly in a solid arrangement, in which ductiform structures stood out.
