New iEdison System to Launch August 9; Prepare for Downtime and Transition

NIST will launch a new iEdison system on Tuesday, August 9, as the management of the system changes hands from NIH eRA to NIST (see NIH Guide Notices NOT-OD-22-158 and NOT-OD-22-100). In preparation for the transition and transfer of data, the current iEdison system will be unavailable for a week from August 2 through August 8. All existing data and any attachments on individual invention and patent reports will be carried over, as will active iEdison accounts. To get ready for the transition and downtime, iEdison users are advised to take these steps: Submit early — Any invention reporting data that is due to be submitted during the downtime of Aug. 2 to Aug. 8 should be submitted early. Obtain a Login.gov account — Users must create an account at Login.gov using the same work email used to create their iEdison account (this creates the linkage between a user’s existing and new iEdison account. Sign up for system updates — Subscribe to NIST for the latest updates Attend training sessions — NIST will host several training sessions on the new iEdison system in July and August and information will be posted on www.nist.gov/iedison and sent to those who have subscribed to NIST updates.Training sessions will be broken into two 2-hour sessions and are currently scheduled on the following dates: Part 1 Sessions:  July 18, July 26, August 1, August 15, and August 25 Part 2 Sessions:  July 19, July 28, August 2, August 16, and August 26 Deactivate obsolete accounts ...
