Self-perceptions of e-cigarettes among adolescents: a health safety concern

More research is needed to examine misconceptions of e-cigarette smoking and addiction among adolescents. Context One of the most popular tobacco products used by adolescents in the USA is e-cigarettes. According to the CDC, nearly 20% of high school students and 5% of middle school students use e-cigarettes. Also, it has been reported that nearly 40% of high school students and 20% of middle school students used e-cigarettes at least 20 out of the last 30 days.1 E-cigarettes are also capable of causing significant damage to adolescents’ health when smoking.2...
