Correlations Among Self-Rated Health, Chronic Disease, and Healthcare Utilization in Widowed Older Adults in Taiwan
Conclusions/Implications for Practice: These findings identified that chronic diseases and healthcare utilization correlated strongly with self-rated health for widowed older adults. Therefore, self-rated health may be used as a screening tool by the National Health Insurance System in Taiwan, and the results may be referenced by public health officials who are responsible for developing welfare strategies to promote healthy aging among the widowed in Taiwan.

The Impact of Nurse Staffing on In-Hospital Mortality of Stroke Patients in Korea
Conclusion: Policies to educate sufficient numbers of nurses and retain them in the field are warranted, especially because medical-cost containment has become a dominant concern in most countries. Further studies are needed to understand the mechanisms and other protective roles of nurse staffing to ensure long-term health outcomes after hospital discharge.

Transitions of care for stroke and TIA
ConclusionHospital length of stay, age, insurance status, discharge disposition, comorbidities, and readmission rates were identified as important elements affecting TOC for stroke and TIA.
