UNM Sciences Center gets grant to expand telemedicine service
The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center has gotten a $15.1 million, three-year grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to test the expansion of its existing telemedicine network for stroke and brain injury patients. The project will be in conjunction with a private Albuquerque telemedicine firm, Net Medical Xpress Solutions, the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services said.
