Comparison of model-free Lorentzian and spinlock model-based fittings in quantitative CEST imaging of  acute stroke
CONCLUSION: Our study demonstrated that spinlock model-based fitting of QUASS CEST MRI improved the determination of the underlying tissue changes following acute stroke, promising further clinical translation of quantitative CEST imaging.PMID:37335834 | DOI:10.1002/mrm.29772

Carotid artery stenting using a 7 French Optimo balloon guide catheter combined with a distal filter
CONCLUSIONS: The 7 F Optimo is the smallest BGC to achieve CAS using a proximal protection system. The combined use of a 7 F Optimo BGC and a distal filter is effective for navigating the BGC and distal embolic protection.PMID:37322893 | DOI:10.1177/15910199231162493

Longitudinal hemodynamic evaluation of uncomplicated twin pregnancies according to chorionicity: physiological cardiovascular dysfunction in monochorionic twin pregnancy
CONCLUSIONS: Maternal cardiovascular function undergoes significant changes during an uncomplicated twin pregnancy and chorionicity influences maternal hemodynamics. In both twin pregnancies the hemodynamic changes are detected as early as the first trimester. In DC twin pregnancies the maternal hemodynamics remain stable during the rest of pregnancy. On the contrary, in MC twin pregnancies the rise in maternal CO continues in the second trimester to sustain the higher placental growth. There is a subsequent cross-over with a reduction in cardiovascular performance during the third trimester. This article is protected by c...

Mechanical thrombectomy with intravenous thrombolysis versus thrombolysis alone for the treatment of stroke: a systematic review of economic evaluations
Mechanical thrombectomy has revolutionized the management of stroke by improving recanalization rates and reducing deleterious consequences. It is now the standard of care despite the high financial cost. A significant number of studies have evaluated its cost-effectiveness. Therefore, we aimed to identify economic evaluations of mechanical thrombectomy with thrombolysis compared to thrombolysis alone to provide an update of existing reviews, focusing on the period following proof of efficacy of mechanical thrombectomy.

A novel method for preparing clot analogs under dynamic vortical flow for testing mechanical thrombectomy devices
CONCLUSIONS: Dynamic clots generated in dynamic vortical flow differ significantly from static clots in terms of their composition and mechanical properties, which may be beneficial information for preclinical research on mechanical thrombectomy devices.PMID:37309134 | DOI:10.1177/15910199231182850
