Clinical Artificial Intelligence Applications in Radiology: Neuro
This article illustrates some of these applications. This article reviews machine learning challenges related to neuroradiology. The first approval of reimbursement for an AI algorithm by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, covering a stroke software for early detection of large vessel occlusion, is also discussed.PMID:34689869 | DOI:10.1016/j.rcl.2021.07.002

Robotically-assisted neuro-endovascular procedures: Single-Center Experience and a Review of the Literature
CONCLUSIONS: This series may contribute to further demonstrating the safety and feasibility of RANPs. RANPs can potentially reduce radiation exposure and physical burden for health personnel, expand acute cerebrovascular treatment to underserved areas, and enhance telementoring. Prospective studies are necessary for results to be generalized.PMID:35296166 | DOI:10.1177/15910199221082475

Abstract No. 240 Automated outcome prediction in mechanical thrombectomy for acute large vessel ischemic stroke using 3D convolutional neural networks applied to CT angiography
Accurate prediction of clinical outcomes of acute large vessel occlusions (LVO) would lead to better patient selection and treatment planning for mechanical thrombectomy (MT). We developed a deep learning pipeline that predicts thrombectomy passes, immediate perfusion quality via the Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction (TICI) score and functional outcome via the 30-day modified Rankin Scale (mRS).

FReSCO: Flow Reconstruction and Segmentation for low-latency Cardiac Output monitoring using deep artifact suppression and segmentation
CONCLUSIONS: The FReSCO framework was successfully demonstrated for real-time monitoring of CO during exercise and could provide a convenient tool for assessment of the hemodynamic response to a range of stressors.PMID:35781891 | DOI:10.1002/mrm.29374
