Timing of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Onset for Upper Limb Function After Stroke: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Conclusions: Based on the FMA, rTMS seems more beneficial only when started in the first month post-stroke. Tests at the level of function are likely more sensitive to detect beneficial rTMS effects on upper limb function than tests at the level of activity. However, heterogeneities in treatment designs and outcomes are high. Future rTMS trials should include the FMA and work toward a core set of outcome measures.

Interdisciplinary Stroke Recovery Research: The Perspective of Occupational Therapists in Acute Care
This article discusses the importance of the OTs' perspectives in conducting interdisciplinary, longitudinal stroke recovery research. The challenges, strategies and recommendations for future directions of advancing the role of OTs in multidisciplinary stroke recovery research are highlighted. We use this perspective as a call to action to the stroke recovery field to incorporate OTs as members of the research team and for OTs to provide their perspectives on ongoing stroke recovery research.

Acute Neurofilament Light Chain Plasma Levels Correlate With Stroke Severity and Clinical Outcome in Ischemic Stroke Patients
Conclusions: Plasma NF-L levels, but not IL-6 and S100B, were significant predictors of clinical severity on admission and functional outcome at 3 months. Plasma NF-L is a promising biomarker of functional outcome after ischemic stroke.

Serum Sphingosine 1-Phosphate (S1P): A Novel Diagnostic Biomarker in Early Acute Ischemic Stroke
Conclusions: The present study preliminarily investigated the diagnostic value of serum S1P in acute stroke. Decreased serum S1P may become a potential biomarker for early acute ischemic stroke and can indicate disease severity.

No Association Between Thrombus Perviousness and Cardioembolic Stroke Etiology in Basilar Artery Occlusion Stroke
Conclusion: In contrast to proximal middle cerebral artery occlusions, TP in BAO patients is not associated with cardioembolic stroke etiology. Larger confirmatory studies to establish the potential role of TP for clinical applications should focus on patients with anterior circulation stroke.

Distribution of Diagnoses and Clinical and Imaging Characteristics in 1,322 Consecutive Suspected Stroke Patients
Conclusion: Our results help to plan resources in thrombectomy-capable centers in times of expanding indications for EVT where resources will have to be adjusted to patients with low-NIHSS, low-ASPECTS, and distal occlusions, and patients presenting in the extended time window, which may altogether account for an additional 20% of all ischemic stroke patients.

Low Ankle-Brachial Index Is Associated With Stroke Recurrence in Ischemic Stroke Patients With Atrial Fibrillation
Conclusions: We found that a low ABI is associated with stroke recurrence, MACE, and mortality in patients with CE. In particular, the association between ABI and recurrent stroke is only present in AF patients. A low ABI may be a useful prognostic marker in patients with CE, especially in AF patients.

Evolution of Blood-Brain Barrier Permeability in Subacute Ischemic Stroke and Associations With Serum Biomarkers and Functional Outcome
Conclusion: In patients with moderate-to-severe subacute stroke, three out of four patients demonstrated increased BBB permeability, which decreased over time. The presence of increased BBBP was associated with larger lesion volumes and more severe strokes. We could not detect an association between selected serum biomarkers of inflammation and an increased BBBP in this cohort. Hemorrhagic Stroke Induces a Time-Dependent Upregulation of miR-150-5p and miR-181b-5p in the Bloodstream
To date, the only effective pharmacological treatment for ischemic stroke is limited to the clinical use of recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rtPA), although endovascular therapy has also emerged as an effective treatment for acute ischemic stroke.
