Thrombectomy or Intravenous Thrombolysis in patients with NIHSS of 5 or less?
Conclusions: MT in patients with minor strokes and intracranial vessel occlusion (IVO) is safe and can determine a rapid improvement of NIHSS score. MT seems also associated with a higher rate of patients discharged at home after hospitalization and better clinical outcome at 3-month follow-up. Larger randomized trials are warranted to confirm these results.

Maximum lesions area and orthogonal values accessed from DWI images would be alternative imaging markers for predicting the outcome of acute ischemia in the middle cerebral artery territory.
Conclusion Since they correlated well with the infarction volume, MaxA and OD assessed on DWI were time-saving and achieved comparable diagnostic efficiencies; thus, they may represent alternative imaging markers for predicting unfavorable outcomes of acute ischemic stroke in MCA territory. Predictors of favorable outcome after mechanical thrombectomy for anterior circulation acute ischemic stroke in octogenarians
Conclusions There is no reason to withhold mechanical thrombectomy on the basis of age alone. Small infarct core, low NIHSS, male gender and use of IVT are associated with a better functional outcome.

Transfer of stroke patients impairs eligibility for endovascular stroke treatment
Conclusions EST should be provided directly whenever possible as one in four transferred stroke patients becomes ineligible for EST during transfer. If direct transfer is not possible, indication for EST should be re-assessed after transfer.

Impact and Effectiveness of Dual Aspiration Technique in Stent-Assisted Mechanical Thrombectomy: Recent Improvements in Acute Stroke Management
ConclusionsThe dual aspiration technique with an additional intermediate guide catheter placed closed to the stent retriever leads to decreased procedure time in the anterior circulation. Even in cases with higher thrombus load and treated in DAT, clinical outcome improved.

First-line lesional aspiration in acute stroke thrombectomy using a novel intermediate catheter: Initial experiences with the SOFIA.
CONCLUSIONS: Lesional aspiration with SOFIA is in line with published data. The SOFIA may be used as a first-line device, aiming at fast recanalization by sole aspiration with good safety and efficacy. Stent-based thrombectomy versus intravenous tissue plasminogen activator in acute ischaemic stroke: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
CONCLUSION: Stentrievers can achieve a high rate of recanalisation and functional independence in acute ischaemic stroke and have a relatively good safety profile. Acute Stroke and Obstruction of the Extracranial Carotid Artery Combined with Intracranial Tandem Occlusion: Results of Interventional Revascularization
Conclusion Endovascular recanalization of acute cervical carotid artery occlusion was technically feasible in all patients, and resulted in high extra- and intracranial revascularization rates. A trend for favorable clinical outcome was seen in a higher TICI score, younger age, good collateral status, and combined IV rTPA and endovascular therapy.
