Mechanical Thrombectomy for Pediatric Large Vessel Occlusions
ConclusionIn our meta-analysis, MT demonstrated a  promising safety and efficacy profile for pediatric patients, with consistently high efficacy outcomes and low complication rates. Our results support the utilization of MT in pediatric LVOs; however, prospective studies are still needed to further establish the role of pediatric MT as a first-li ne treatment strategy.

Understanding Delays in MRI-based Selection of Large Vessel Occlusion Stroke Patients for Endovascular Thrombectomy
ConclusionMinimizing arrival-to-puncture time is important for outcomes. Real-world challenges exist in an MRI-based EVT selection protocol; avoiding double imaging is key to saving time. Racial/ethnic disparities require further study. Understanding variables associated with delay will inform protocol changes.

Late Thrombectomy in Clinical Practice
ConclusionIn clinical practice, the high number of patients with a  good clinical outcome after endovascular therapy ≥ 6–24 h as in DAWN/DEFUSE3 could not be achieved. Similar outcomes are seen in patients selected for EVT ≥ 6 h based on factors other than CTP. Patients triaged without CTP showed trends for shorter arrival to reperfusion times and higher rates of independence.

Mechanical Thrombectomy in Acute Ischemic Stroke Using a  Manually Expandable Stent Retriever (Tigertriever)
ConclusionThe Tigertriever offers a  safe and effective treatment option in ischemic stroke due to LVOs with reperfusion rates and a safety profile similar to alternative devices. The Tigertriever is a promising bail-out tool in complex cases. Its role as a first line device has to be evaluated in further prospective studies.

Recanalization is the Key for Better Outcome of Thrombectomy in Basilar Artery Occlusion
ConclusionReperfusion is the major predictor of functional outcome in BAO in clinical practice. Failed recanalization resulted in a  13-fold increase of the risk of poor outcome. Successful recanalization is crucial to achieve a better functional outcome in BAO.

Collateral Scores in Acute Ischemic Stroke
ConclusionAlthough collaterals are known to correlate with clinical outcome, none of the analyzed collateral scores sufficiently predicted outcome as a  standalone parameter.

Iatrogenic Vessel Dissection in Endovascular Treatment of Acute Ischemic Stroke
ConclusionThe occurrence of ID is a  rare complication of endovascular AIS treatment associated with smoking and mechanical thrombectomy.
