P-008 Evaluating Racial/Ethnic Disparity in Endovascular Thrombectomy Outcome for Acute Stroke Patients: 4,763 patients using Premier data 2011 to 2015
ConclusionsThere were no differences in hospital outcome among races/ethnicities in endovascular thrombectomy outcomes for acute stroke patients in the Premier data. Racial/ethnic disparities play role for patients’ selection not for patients’ outcome in endovascular thrombectomy.DisclosuresS. Park: None. M. Pilot: None. M. E-249 Analysis of racial and accessibility disparities with mechanical thrombectomy usage for acute ischemic stroke at a single center
ConclusionRacial status was not associated with a difference in clinical presentation, treatment characteristics, nor outcomes. In multivariate analysis, stroke-onset-to-arrival time to our center was the greatest predictor of good neurological outcome. Racial status did not show any significant differences in stroke-onset-to-arrival times at our institution.Disclosures B. Abraham: None. C. Cunningham: None. R. Jaquish: None. W. Troja: None. G. Predictors and clinical relevance of hemorrhagic transformation after endovascular therapy for anterior circulation large vessel occlusion strokes: a multicenter retrospective analysis of 1122 patients
Conclusions Greater understanding about the predictors and consequences of ICH post endovascular stroke therapy is essential to improve risk assessment, patient selection/clinical outcomes, and early prognostication. Our data suggest that patients with atrial fibrillation are particularly prone to severe ICH and question the ‘benign’ nature of HI suggested by earlier studies.

E-108 Endovascular treatment of patients with acute ischemic stroke due to underlying arterial dissection: a nationwide analysis
ConclusionsDespite a similar prevalence among patients admitted for AIS, CA dissections are associated with a higher rate of endovascular intervention and poorer short-term outcomes compared to VA dissections. This study provides essential epidemiologic and outcome data for the cerebrovascular neurosurgeon.Abstract E-108 Table 1Comparison of clinical characteristics and outcomes among patients presenting with acute ischemic stroke due to carotid or vertebral artery dissections Characteristic Vertebral Artery Dissection, N = 2,562 Carotid Artery Dissection, N = 2,789 p-value1 Age (years), Mean (SD) 53 (17) 57 (17) <0.00...

P175/308 Analysis of demographic, procedural and imaging data of patients with acute arteriosclerotic tandem lesion: Age and stroke severity matters most for clinical outcome
ConclusionEVT for TL is safe and effective. Lower age and shorter procedural time both correlate with successful outcomes, but the fact that stroke severity, neurological issues and diabetes are linked to higher mortality shows the connotation of comorbidities with long-term survival.Disclosure of InterestAll authors: Nothing to disclose

E-197 Use of balloon-mounted stents and drug eluting stents in intracranial atherosclerotic disease: single center experience
ConclusionDES appears effective and relatively safe with good long-term outcomes in treating intracranial atherosclerosis and secondary stroke prevention and is associated with lower delayed in-stent stenosis on follow up imaging compared to BMS and Wingspan stents. Use of DES for symptomatic ICAD in acute and non-emergent settings warrants further investigation.Balloon mounted stent, drug eluting stent, Wingspan, intracranial atherosclerotic disease, outcomes.Disclosures N. E-049 Accuracy of non-invasive and invasive imaging in identifying ica occlusion: a comparative study in 65 patients
Conclusion Our result suggests that there is a lack of correlation between the imaging findings of carotid occlusion on imaging compared with catheter angiography of the ICA during the intervention in acute stroke treatment. Thus, endovascular catheterization of the ICA is often required for the exact characterization and localization of the carotid occlusion and to determine if a dissection is the underlying pathology in such cases.
