Unplanned readmission after carotid stenting versus endarterectomy: analysis of the United States Nationwide Readmissions Database
Conclusions Readmission is not uncommon after carotid revascularization, occurs more often after CAS, and is predicted by baseline factors and by preventable adverse events at initial admission.

P25 Short- and long-term mortality of subarachnoid hemorrhage according to hospital volume and severity using a nationwide multicenter stroke registry
ConclusionShort- and long-term mortality in patients with SAH differed according to hospital volume. In the modern endovascular era, clipping and coiling can lead to better outcomes in facilities with high stroke-care capabilities.ReferencesPobereskin LH. E-191 Influence of socioeconomic factors on the development of post-stroke depression in aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage survivors
ConclusionThe overall risk of developing a new depression disorder after aSAH was 16% in this retrospective study. The female sex was close to 4 times and substance use were six and half time more likely to develop new depressive symptoms; therefore, these risk factors should be considered when screening patients for depression after aSAH.Disclosures D. P-032 Disparities in stroke: influence of socioeconomic status and race on timely access to mechanical thrombectomy
ConclusionsRace demonstrated to be an independent predictor of timely access to a stroke care facility and mechanical thrombectomy, while SES was not. Additional independent predictors were driving distance, wake-up stroke, and baseline functionality.Disclosures A. V. T. Nguyen: None. G. M Cortez: None. M. Baretta: None. A. P-033 Disparities in stroke: associating patient-level demographic factors with loss of follow-up
ConclusionsRace, discharge mRS, median income based on zip codes, and health insurance coverage are potential determinants of whether an ischemic stroke patient who underwent thrombectomy would comply with a 90-day follow-up.Disclosures A. P-038 Demographic disparities in proximity to certified stroke care in the United States
ConclusionsDisparities in proximity to stroke care were worse in non-urban areas than in urban areas. Non-urban census tracts with greater representation of elderly, American Indian, or uninsured persons, or low median income, were substantially more distant from certified stroke care. Quantifying disparities in proximity to timely stroke care can inform ongoing efforts for infrastructure improvements that reduce inequalities in access to care.Disclosures C. Yu: None. T. E-051 Disparities in stroke: Associating socioeconomic factors with ischemic stroke outcome
ConclusionsMedian income based on zip code is a SES indicator that is potentially associated with functional outcomes of ischemic stroke patients undergoing mechanical thrombectomy. Further studies addressing this relationship are needed.Disclosures A. Nguyen: None. G. M. Cortez: None. M. Baretta: None. A. Aghaebrahim: None. E. Sauvageau: None. R. Hanel: None.
