O-011 Tenzing 7 delivery catheter system with or without a leading microwire for acute stroke aspiration thrombectomy: a multicenter experience
ConclusionsRates of successful catheter delivery using the Tenzing 7 device amongst single pass aspiration thrombectomies were similar with and without the use of microwires. The majority of cases did not require a microwire. T7 thrombectomies without microwires were functionally noninferior to procedures using a microwire; the former is more cost-effective as fewer devices are used. From a technique standpoint, initial pass with T7 can be performed without use of microwire, reserving microwire use for refractory cases or known difficult-to-navigate vasculature.Disclosures M. P-001 Residual in-stent carotid stenosis and cigarette smoking are predictors of restenosis after stenting (CAS)
ConclusionWe present the largest single-center data in the US to date on carotid artery stenosis treated with CAS, and factors associated with restenosis. Residual in-stent carotid stenosis and smoking history were independent predictors. Maximizing treatment of initial stenosis within stent for carefully selected patients and aggressive smoking cessation education are important steps in preventing future carotid restenosis.Abstract P-001 Figure 1Carotid restenosis after carotid arty tenting (%) by categories of degree of residual stenosis after initial procedure (a), and by cutpoint of 29% (b)Disclosures P. Correlation of von Willebrand factor and platelets with acute ischemic stroke etiology and revascularization outcome: an immunohistochemical study
Conclusions The vWF level and CD42b/vWF distribution pattern in emboli were correlated with AIS etiology and revascularization outcome. Platelet content was associated with response to thrombolysis.

E-070 The use of inpatient virtual shared medical appointments for patients with acute cerebrovascular pathologies and their caregivers: a pilot study to improve health literacy, patient self-efficacy and reduce provider burnout
ConclusionsImplementation of a vSMA program at a tertiary care center during a pandemic was feasible. Themes caregivers expressed on the post-survey included better understanding of caring for a stroke patient, and coping with the unpredictability of a patient’s prognosis. The pandemic has precipitated shifts towards telehealth, but our study highlights the importance of avoiding marginalization of the elderly and less technologically inclined populations.Tables to be presented:Abstract E-070 Table 1Inclusion and exclusion criteriaAbstract E-070 Table 2Characteristics of Study ParticipantsAbstract E-070 Table 3Patien...

E-131 Transfemoral versus transradial approach for cerebral angiography: A patient preference survey
ConclusionsAt our institution, most patients preferred transradial over transfemoral approach. Most common reasons included pain, recovery time and bruising. Although the effectiveness and safety of transradial approach for non-diagnostic neurointervention remains uncertain and continues to technically evolve, it may be the best option for diagnostic angiograms considering the patients’ preference.Disclosures J. O-034 Women with large vessel occlusion acute ischemic stroke are less likely to be routed to comprehensive stroke centers
ConclusionsLVO patients who presented to PSCs were less likely to receive EVT than patients directly presenting to a CSC. Anterior circulation LVOs were more likely to be transferred for EVT evaluation. Despite a higher NIHSS, and similar other baseline characteristics, female patients were less likely to be routed to a CSC.Disclosures M. Tariq: None. S. Salazar-Marioni: None. S. Khose: None. L. P-008 Normoglycemia following thrombectomy is associated with improved 90-day favorable outcomes in ischemic stroke patients
Conclusions Normoglycemia is an important marker following thrombectomy. If patients have normoglycemia following thrombectomy and recanculization, they are likely to have a favorable long-term course. Hyperglycemia following thrombectomy however is an indication of poor future outcome. Further studies are warranted to elucidate the validity of normoglycemia as a marker for long-term favorable outcome following thrombectomy. Disclosures B. Lucke-Wold: None. S. Boo: None. J. E-042 Clinical and cost effectiveness of using evolving ace reperfusion catheters as first-line treatment of acute ischemic stroke due to large vessel occlusions
Conclusion ADAPT with the ACE68 reperfusion catheter resulted in a significantly higher rate of successful reperfusion using aspiration alone (90%) compared to previous generation ACE catheters. ADAPT also resulted in significant cost savings compared to Solumbra or SR first-line approaches. Disclosures Y. Kayan: 2; C; Medtronic Neurovascular, Penumbra. J. Assessment of intracranial aneurysm rupture based on morphology parameters and anatomical locations
Conclusions Size ratio, height–width ratio, aneurysm inclination angle, aneurysm shape, and aneurysm location might be important for discriminating between ruptured and unruptured aneurysms. Further investigation will determine whether these morphological parameters and anatomical locations will be reliable predictors of aneurysm rupture.

E-045 Product Cost and Utilization in Mechanical Thrombectomy: A Comparison of Techniques
ConclusionA cursory evaluation of the data from this selected subset of patients suggests that there may be no significant difference in overall product cost to the patient for utilization of these two techniques for performance of mechanical thrombectomy. However, upon closer inspection of the data, the cost for aspiration thrombectomy appears to vary quite widely across the subset, with a standard deviation of $22470.99, while the standard deviation for stent retrieval is $2846.91. It is difficult to determine whether this trend would be borne out in a larger sample set; however, it may suggest that product utilization i...

E-057 Process Improvement in Door-to-Groin Puncture Times at a Comprehensive Stroke Center Shows a Trend Towards Reduced Mortality at 90 Days

E-069 Fluoroscopy Time and Radiation Dose in Mechanical Thrombectomy: A Comparison of Techniques
ConclusionData from this limited subset of patients suggest a statistically significant difference in fluoroscopy time for mechanical thrombectomies performed with stent retrieval versus those performed with suction aspiration. No significant difference was seen in dose area product data. The difference in fluoroscopy time between the two techniques may reflect operator comfort rather than intrinsic differences between the two techniques. Notably, however, these data were obtained across multiple operators at our institution, so it may be plausible that these differences are generalizable to technique. It is important to ag...

Cerebral vasospasm patterns following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage: an angiographic study comparing coils with clips
Conclusions Patients with aSAH treated by endovascular coiling and surgical clipping demonstrate distinct vasospasm patterns. While both initially exhibit perianeurysmal spasm, patients treated by coiling go on to develop stepwise progression distally over time. This finding may reflect dispersion of blood breakdown products along preserved CSF egress pathways in patients treated by endovascular coiling.
