E-023 Predictors of outcomes in tandem anterior circulation occlusions following mechanical thrombectomy
In this study, we present outcomes of patients undergoing tandem mechanical thrombectomy. We demonstrate that stenting is associated with improved final reperfusion, but increased odds of asymptomatic ICH. Additional clinical trials should be performed to optimize the procedure and improve patient outcomes.Disclosures J. Catapano: None. D. Farhadi: None. A. Naik: None. S. Koester: None. E. E-030 Feasibility and safety of mechanical thrombectomy for sole primary angular artery M3 and M4 MCA occlusions
ConclusionAngular artery occlusions often present with disabling symptoms, commonly including speech deficits and limb paresis. Our limited data suggests that mechanical thrombectomy of the angular artery is feasible and safe. As with thrombectomy in other vascular territories, and amongst other factors, patient outcome is influenced by grade of reperfusion.Disclosures A. Kuhn: None. J. Singh: None. F. Massari: None. A. E-040 Factors associated with failed mechanical thrombectomy in acute ischemic stroke
ConclusionFailed MT was encountered in approximately 12% of cases. The most common location of failed MT was intracranial and this was predominantly due to ICAS. Further studies to evaluate better treatment modalities of ICAS related LVO are warranted.Disclosures O. Lajthia: None. H. Ali: None. R. Neyes: None. E. Almallouhi: None. R. Chalhoub: None. K. E-191 Influence of socioeconomic factors on the development of post-stroke depression in aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage survivors
ConclusionThe overall risk of developing a new depression disorder after aSAH was 16% in this retrospective study. The female sex was close to 4 times and substance use were six and half time more likely to develop new depressive symptoms; therefore, these risk factors should be considered when screening patients for depression after aSAH.Disclosures D. E-236 Comparison of pipeline vs surpass flow diverter: a single center experience
ConclusionsIn our single-center retrospective experience in the last 5 years, the Pipeline and Surpass were comparable except that the Surpass flow diverter cases tended to have a higher baseline aneurysm width compared to Pipeline. However, the procedural outcomes and complication rates were comparable between both groups. Long-term and follow-up data to be evaluated for efficacy outcomes assessment.Disclosures A. Pandhi: None.
