75 A prospective, multi-center, randomized controlled pivotal study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of trufill(R) NBCA embolization of the middle meningeal artery for the treatment of subdural hematoma - The membrane study
ConclusionMiddle meningeal artery embolization with n-BCA is an emerging treatment strategy for cSDH. An appropriately powered trial like the MEMBRANE Study will provide high level evidence on the potential safety and efficacy of this treatment paradigm.Disclosures C. Successful recanalization in acute basilar artery occlusion treated with endovascular therapy is independent of thrombus length
Conclusions Successful recanalization does not depend on thrombus length in patients with BAO treated with EVT. Recanalization can therefore be achieved despite high clot burden. Additionally, a high density of thrombi was a strong predictor of a favorable outcome.

The association between carotid intraplaque hemorrhage and outcomes of carotid stenting: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusions Our systematic review and meta-analysis demonstrated that patients with IPH on pre-carotid stenting MRI had higher rates of silent ischemia as well as of a composite outcome of perioperative stroke, death, and MI compared with those without IPH.

P-004 30 day results of revascularization of extracranial carotid artery stenosis (recas) trial in mainland china
This study is registered, number NCT01994187. Results The trial enrolled 2762 patients (CAS group, n=1543; CEA group, n=1176; CEA+CAS group, n=43). The primary end point was achieved in 4.47% (69/1543) in patients treated with carotid artery stents, and 4.93% (58/1176) in patients treated with carotid endarterectomy, an absolute difference of 0.46%. Risks of any stroke (3.50% vs 3.32%) was higher in the stenting group than in the endarterectomy group, but the risks of any death (0.39% vs 0.51%) was lower in the stenting group than in the endarterectomy group. Nine procedural myocardial infarctions were recorded in the st...

Long term durability and outcomes of carotid stenting and carotid endarterectomy
Conclusions Although CAS may be more strongly associated with periprocedural stroke/death compared with CEA, it could be a good alternative to CEA in terms of long term durability and outcomes.

Carotid artery stenting for vulnerable plaques on MR angiography and ultrasonography: utility of dual protection and blood aspiration method
Conclusions The combination of dual protection and blood aspiration could provide effective distal embolic protection although vulnerable plaques on TOF-MRA and US had a high incidence of debris during CAS. Thus, CAS using dual protection and blood aspiration is safe in patients with vulnerable plaques.
