Stryker wins $3m tax break for Utah facility expansion
Stryker (NYSE:SYK) has won a $3.4 million tax-rebate incentive from the state of Utah to expand its neurotechnology training and manufacturing center in Salt Lake City, according to a Salt Lake Tribune report. Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Stryker aims to add 540 people and spend $100 million over the next 10 years as part of the expansion, according to the report. Siemens Healthineers inks deal with N.Y. provider Northwell Health
Siemens Healthineers (NYSE:SI) said today it inked a 4-year research deal with N.Y. state healthcare provider Northwell Health. The 2 parties aim to develop research projects evaluating clinical effectiveness and outcomes using data analytics-based population health evidence. Medtronic touts CoreValve TAVR real-world registry data
Medtronic (NYSE:MDT) said today it released the 1st real-world registry study of its CoreValve transcatheter aortic valve replacement, reporting outcomes in-line with its clinical trials of the device. The 6,160-patient Society of Thoracic Surgeons and American College of Cardiology TVT registry study reported a 5.2% rate of all-cause mortality and 2.6% rate of stroke at 30 days.
