How is sexuality after stroke experienced by stroke survivors and partners of stroke survivors? A systematic review of qualitative studies.
CONCLUSION: Stroke has a profound impact on how sexuality is experienced by both stroke survivors and partners of stroke survivors. Despite this, post-stroke sexuality is rarely discussed openly. The prevalence of frailty among acute stroke patients, and evaluation of method of assessment.
CONCLUSION: Frailty is present in around one in four patients with acute stroke; if pre-frailty is included, then a frailty syndrome is seen in three out of four patients. Self-management programmes for people post stroke: a systematic review.
Conclusions:This review provides some preliminary support for the potential importance of self-management interventions after stroke. The most appropriate content and best approach for delivery of these interventions remains to be determined.
