Intravenous Thrombolysis of Basilar Artery Occlusion: Thrombus Length Versus Recanalization Success Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— Although recanalization of basilar artery occlusion with IVT depends on thrombus length, its probability even in patients with thrombi >30 mm (20%–30%) was substantially higher than minimal recanalization of middle cerebral artery thrombi exceeding 8 mm. There was no threshold length, beyond which basilar artery occlusion recanalization with IVT could ad hoc be deemed hopeless.

Isolated Cortical Vein Thrombosis: Systematic Review of Case Reports and Case Series Brief Reports
Conclusions— Signs of increased intracranial pressure seem to be less common in isolated cortical vein thrombosis compared with cerebral venous and sinus thrombosis. MRI and in some cases conventional angiography are the most frequently used diagnostic modalities and anticoagulation is the most widely used therapy.

Difference in Aneurysm Characteristics Between Ruptured and Unruptured Aneurysms in Patients With Multiple Intracranial Aneurysms Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— Aspect ratio ≥1.3 and irregular shape are associated with aneurysm rupture independent of aneurysm size and location, and independent of patient characteristics. Additional studies need to assess to what extent these factors increase the risks of rupture of small aneurysms in absolute terms.

North American SOLITAIRE Stent-Retriever Acute Stroke Registry: Choice of Anesthesia and Outcomes Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— The NASA Registry has demonstrated that clinical outcomes and survival are significantly better in patients treated with LA, without increased symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage risk. Future trials should prospectively evaluate the effect of GA on outcomes.

Evaluation of Carotid Angioplasty and Stenting for Radiation-Induced Carotid Stenosis Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— The safety, effectiveness, and technical difficulty of carotid angioplasty and stenting for RIS are comparable with that for AS although it is associated with a higher rate of ISR. Clinical Trial Registration— This trial was not registered as enrollment started in 2006.
