A shorter system delay for haemorrhagic stroke than ischaemic stroke among patients who use emergency medical service
ConclusionsPatients with a haemorrhagic stroke differed from other stroke patients with a more frequent and rapid activation of EMS.

Clinical outcome of cardioembolic stroke treated by intravenous thrombolysis
ConclusionsCardioembolic strokes are not associated with increased mortality. Patients with CS are less likely to have sICH and have better outcome after IVT.

Contrast ‐enhanced sonothrombolysis in acute ischemic stroke patients without intracranial large‐vessel occlusion
ConclusionCEST is safe in ischemic stroke patients without intracranial LVO. There were no differences in clinical outcomes between the treatment groups.

Leptomeningeal collateral status predicts outcome after middle cerebral artery occlusion
ConclusionsLeptomeningeal collateral status predicts functional outcome, mortality, and hemorrhagic transformation following middle cerebral artery occlusion.

Life situation 5  years after subarachnoid haemorrhage
ConclusionsIn this 5‐year follow‐up after SAH, the participants reported to have a greater number of hidden disabilities compared to physical problems, whereas most had acceptable participation in society. A yearly follow‐up after a SAH could be suggested aiming to improving the cognitive and mental health.

Transient ischemic attack and ischemic stroke patients with or without prior stroke
ConclusionsBoth in TIA and IS, vascular risk factors were more common in patients with a history of stroke compared with those without. In contrast to other secondary preventive medications, OAC treatment in the presence of AF was underutilized in patients with a history of stroke.

Ultra ‐acute diagnostics for stroke: Large‐scale implementation of prehospital biomarker sampling
ConclusionsPrehospital biomarker sampling can be implemented in all EMS units and provides a median timesaving of more than 30 minutes to first blood sample. Large prehospital sample sets will enable development of novel ambulance biomarkers to improve early differential diagnosis and treatment of thrombolysis candidates.

Preexisting cognitive impairment in intracerebral hemorrhage
ConclusionsIn conclusion, cognitive impairment frequently precedes ICH. A higher frequency of cerebrovascular events suggests a role of vascular processes in the development of cognitive impairment before ICH.

Headache in stroke according to National Acute Stroke Israeli Survey
ConclusionsIntracerebral hemorrhage, younger age, female gender, posterior circulation involvement, and headache history are predictors for headache occurrence in acute stroke. Headache incidence in ICH correlates with stroke severity as opposed to IS. Headache in TIA is not unusual. Lacunar strokes are generally not accompanied by headaches. Headache remains the main complaint in SVT and carotid dissection.

Glucose in prediabetic and diabetic range and outcome after stroke
ConclusionsPatients with glucose in the prediabetic and diabetic range have an increased risk of unfavourable short‐term outcome after stroke. These findings illustrate the potential impact of early detection and treatment of these patients.

Epidemiology of stroke in Finnish patients with Huntington's disease
ConclusionCerebrovascular disease is as common in patients with HD as in the general population, but minor cerebrovascular events and vascular risk factors may remain unrecognized. Genetic burden of the HTT mutation does not appear to increase the risk of stroke.
