Teaching a Neurology Continuing Medical Education Course to Ghanaian Physician Assistants (P1.281)
Conclusions: The provision of education in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions to primary care providers is one intervention that can address the limited supply of neurologists in lower income countries. This study suggests that a continuing medical education course can increase participant self-confidence in major topics in neurology and that the most valuable contribution of an educational intervention could be instruction in the neurological exam.Disclosure: Dr. O'Donnell has nothing to disclose.
