Single-Center Preliminary Experience with Gutter-Plugging Chimney Stent-Graft for Aortic Dissection
ConclusionThe initial results of the Longuette ™ stent-graft for revascularization of the left subclavian artery are encouraging with a high technical success rate. Further multicenter follow-up outcomes are required to assess the long-term durability.Level of EvidenceLevel 4, Case Series.

Endovascular Stroke Therapy with a Novel 6-French Aspiration Catheter
ConclusionEndovascular stroke therapy using the AXS Catalyst catheter seems safe and effective, with similar performance than other reperfusion catheters.

Histopathological and Bacteriological Analysis of Thrombus Material Extracted During Mechanical Thrombectomy in Acute Stroke Patients
ConclusionsIn our series, systematic histopathological and bacteriological study of the MT samples allowed a higher proportion of SE diagnosis in comparison with previous reports.

Intraprocedural Thrombus Fragmentation During Interventional Stroke Treatment: A Comparison of Direct Thrombus Aspiration and Stent Retriever Thrombectomy
ConclusionWhen retrieving of the primary thrombus is possible, ADAPT results in comparable reperfusion grades as do stent retrievers. This suggests that comparable distraction forces act on the thrombus and that both techniques possess a comparable risk of periprocedural thrombus fragmentation. SAH exclusively occurred after using stent retrievers, which may further promote ADAPT as safe and fast initial front-line approach.

Impact and Effectiveness of Dual Aspiration Technique in Stent-Assisted Mechanical Thrombectomy: Recent Improvements in Acute Stroke Management
ConclusionsThe dual aspiration technique with an additional intermediate guide catheter placed closed to the stent retriever leads to decreased procedure time in the anterior circulation. Even in cases with higher thrombus load and treated in DAT, clinical outcome improved.

Spontaneous Solitaire™ AB Thrombectomy Stent Detachment During Stroke Treatment
Abstract Spontaneous Solitaire™ stent retriever detachment is a rarely defined entity seen during stroke treatment, which can result in a disastrous clinical outcome if it cannot be solved within a critical stroke treatment time window. Two solutions to this problem are presented in the literature. The first is to leave the stent in place and apply angioplasty to the detached stent, while the second involves surgically removing the stent from the location at which it detached. Here, we present a case of inadvertent stent detachment during stroke treatment for a middle cerebral artery M1 occlusion resulting in p...

Acute Stroke and Obstruction of the Extracranial Carotid Artery Combined with Intracranial Tandem Occlusion: Results of Interventional Revascularization
Conclusion Endovascular recanalization of acute cervical carotid artery occlusion was technically feasible in all patients, and resulted in high extra- and intracranial revascularization rates. A trend for favorable clinical outcome was seen in a higher TICI score, younger age, good collateral status, and combined IV rTPA and endovascular therapy.
