Warfarin therapy for atrial fibrillation in general practice - is bleeding risk underestimated?
Abstract BACKGROUND Atrial fibrillation causes a five-fold increase in the risk of thromboembolic stroke. Warfarin therapy reduces the risk by 64 %, but increases the risk of serious bleeding.
