Should targeted temperature management be used in cardiogenic shock patients? Systematic review and meta-analysis
CONCLUSIONS: The present analysis shows no significant benefit of TTM in patients with CS. Moreover, no statistically significant increase of the incidence of adverse effects was found. Outcomes of invasive treatment in very elderly Polish patients with non-ST-segment-elevation myocardial infarction from 2003-2009 (from the PL-ACS registry).
CONCLUSIONS: Elderly patients with NSTEMI benefit significantly from invasive strategies and modern pharmacotherapy recommended by treatment guidelines. Nevertheless, this approach is associated with an increased incidence of major bleeding. PMID: 23558809 [PubMed - in process]

Hybrid strategy for unstable patients with severe carotid and cardiac disease requiring surgery.

Management of patients with valvular and non-valvular atrial fibrillation in Poland: Results from Reference Cardiology University Centre.
CONCLUSIONS: Our population with AF have similar risk of stroke and bleeding as in European registries. The need for anticoagulation in AF patients is well established in daily medical care in Poland similarly to Western Europe. Patients with valvular AF are more frequently prescribed antithrombotic therapy than patients with non-valvular AF. Comparison of dual antiplatelet therapy versus oral anticoagulation following transcatheter aortic valve replacement: A retrospective single-center registry analysis.
