The impact of probiotics on gut microbiota in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection: a systematic review
CONCLUSIONS: The results provided a basis for the rational selection of probiotics in the H. pylori eradication process. Probiotic supplementation might keep the balance of gut microbiota and reduce the gastrointestinal adverse effects of antibiotics, but whether it could improve the eradication rate or not is a debatable point. Therefore, more research is needed to provide evidence.PMID:37522685 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202307_33144

The application of trimetazidine in healthy individuals: a systematic review
CONCLUSIONS: Currently, there are no data reporting a positive effect of TMZ on physical performance, post-exercise recovery, or other health parameters in members of the general population, while its administration is associated with the development of relatively common adverse effects.PMID:37522701 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202309_33160

Adherence to therapy among liver transplant patients as related to depression, anxiety, acceptance of the disease, and social support
CONCLUSIONS: 1. Patients who accept their disease are a group of people who significantly worse adhere to therapeutic recommendations. 2. The main positive predictors of treatment adherence in the group of transplant patients are the search for various sources of information and declarative adherence to treatment recommendations. Negative predictors include the duration of the disease, side effects of the applied treatment, and comorbidities. 3. The patients who were informed that results depend on regular medication intake significantly more often followed therapeutic recommendations.PMID:37522696 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202307_33156

Efficacy and safety of perampanel for epilepsy: a systematic review and meta-analysis of real-world studies
CONCLUSIONS: Perampanel might be an effective anti-epileptic drug in both children/adolescents and adults when used as an adjunct therapy. More data is required to comment on its use as monotherapy. Careful monitoring for psychiatric problems and behavioral disturbances is required, both prior to initiating treatment as well as during the course of management. Studies with long-term follow-up may are needed to confirm the findings of this meta-analysis.PMID:37458642 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202307_32957

Oral bisphosphonate-induced osteonecrosis complications in patients undergoing tooth extraction: a systematic review and literature updates
CONCLUSIONS: Ongoing studies continue to unravel the role of the oral environment response in alveolar bone homeostasis and how it might contribute to the induction of BRONJ/MRONJ. Approaching the problem from this perspective could provide new directions for the prevention of BRONJ/MRONJ and expand our understanding of the unique oral microenvironment.PMID:37458653 | DOI:10.26355/eurrev_202307_32996
