IJERPH, Vol. 20, Pages 478: Professional Competence and Its Effect on the Implementation of Healthcare 4.0 Technologies: Scoping Review and Future Research Directions
Conclusions: Healthcare organisations are in a technological transition stage and widely incorporate various technologies. Organisations seem to prioritise technologies for ‘sensing’ and ‘communication’ applications. The requirements for competence to handle the technologies used for ‘processing’ and ‘actuation’ are not prevalent in the literature portfolio.

IJERPH, Vol. 20, Pages 457: Financing Benefits and Barriers to Routine HIV Screening in Clinical Settings in the United States: A Scoping Review
. Tiruneh The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends everyone between 13–64 years be tested for HIV at least once as a routine procedure. Routine HIV screening is reimbursable by Medicare, Medicaid, expanded Medicaid, and most commercial insurance plans. Yet, scaling-up HIV routine screening remains a challenge. We conducted a scoping review for studies on financial benefits and barriers associated with HIV screening in clinical settings in the U.S. to inform an evidence-based strategy to scale-up routine HIV screening. We searched Ovid MEDLINE®, Cochrane, and Scopus for studies...

IJERPH, Vol. 20, Pages 362: Evaluation of the Use of Digital Platforms and Digital Mental Health Interventions: Scoping Review
Conclusion: The empirical research demonstrates the feasibility of DMH platforms and DMHIs. To date, there is mostly heterogeneous, preliminary evidence for their effectiveness, quality and usability. However, a scalable DMHI reported effectiveness in treating adults’ anxiety and depression. The scope of effectiveness may be widened through targeted strategies, for example by engaging independent young people.

IJERPH, Vol. 20, Pages 288: The Effects of Noise on Cognitive Performance and Helplessness in Childhood: A Review
Hornikx Environmental noise affects our daily functioning in many ways, and the cognitive, motivational, and emotional effects of noise are intertwined. Our task performance under noisy conditions depends on our ability to cope with the noise and our cognitive resources. The process of (failed) coping may wear us out cognitively, lead to learned helplessness, and, consequently, alter the motivation to persist in a task. The direct effect of irrelevant sounds on cognitive functioning in children is relatively well-established, however, the research on the framework of learned helplessness is limited when it comes to chi...

Mora The environmental, social, economic, cultural and demographic changes experienced in a large part of our society are translating into a greater concern for the search of sustainable responses to the concept of mobility. In this context, the main objectives of our study are: (1) to identify the topics that are addressed most frequently in the scientific literature on sustainable mobility, and (2) to analyze the most suitable models of acceptance or rejection of sustainable mobility. The methodologies used in this paper are a literature review and content analysis. This methodology is useful for the objective, syste...

IJERPH, Vol. 20, Pages 200: A Systematic Review of Electronic Medical Record Driven Quality Measurement and Feedback Systems
This study explores the effectiveness and characteristics of EMR-enabled MFSs in tertiary care. The search strategy guided by the PICO Framework was executed in four databases. Two reviewers screened abstracts and manuscripts. Data on effect and intervention characteristics were extracted using a tailored version of the Cochrane EPOC abstraction tool. Due to study heterogeneity, a narrative synthesis was conducted and reported according to PRISMA guidelines. A total of 14 unique MFS studies were extracted and synthesized, of which 12 had positive effects on outcomes. Findings indicate that quality measurement using EMR dat...

IJERPH, Vol. 20, Pages 232: The Relationship between Binge Drinking and Binge Eating in Adolescence and Youth: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
ndez Adolescence and youth are critical periods in which alcohol consumption is usually initiated, especially in the form of binge drinking. In recent years, it is increasingly common to find adolescents and young people who also present binge behaviors towards unhealthy food with the aim of alleviating their anxiety (emotional eating) and/or because of impulsive personality. Despite the social and health relevance of this issue, it remains scarcely studied and more preventive research needs to be developed. Our meta-analysis study aimed to evaluate the relationship and co-occurrence of both binge behaviors during adol...
