Management of testicular cancer: Practice survey in localized stage
CONCLUSIONS: Our study showed heterogeneity in compliance with guidelines for evaluation and effective treatment of patients with a localized testicular tumor. Some essential practices, such as assays of tumor markers and fertility preservation for patients over 40 years, were not well carried out. Adjuvant management of localized tumors appears to be an important predictor of recurrence.PMID:37581556 | DOI:10.5489/cuaj.8239

A comparison of the sarcopenic effect of androgen receptor-axis-targeted agents vs. androgen deprivation alone in patients with metastatic prostate cancer
CONCLUSIONS: Although we found no significant difference in the sarcopenic effects of GnRH alone, GnRH with abiraterone, or GnRH with enzalutamide in our cohort of 55 hormone-naive metastatic prostate cancer patients, overall decreases in muscle mass were observed for all three groups. This highlights the importance of muscle-retaining strategies for patients undergoing ADT for metastatic prostate cancer, regardless of therapeutic regimen.PMID:37581552 | DOI:10.5489/cuaj.8245
