Surgical treatment of symptomatic pineal cysts without hydrocephalus —meta-analysis of the published literature
ConclusionsAlthough the results support the role of surgery in the management of nhSPCs, they have to be interpreted with a great deal of caution as the current evidence is limited, consisting only of case reports and retrospective surgical series. Inherent to such studies are inhomogeneity and incompleteness of data, selection bias and bias related to assessment of outcome carried out by the treating surgeon in the majority of cases. Prospective studies with patient-reported and objective outcome assessment are needed to provide higher level of evidence.

Spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma treated with tissue plasminogen activator mimicking ischemic stroke
ConclusionHemiplegic spontaneous cervical EDH occurs very rarely. It is often misdiagnosed as ischemic stroke and is likely to be administered with thrombolytic agents, making the patient's symptoms worse. Early diagnosis and rapid management of cervical EDH increase the likelihood of complete recovery of the patient's symptoms. Therefore, if there are unilateral weakness and neck pain without cranial nerve dysfunction and there is no evidence of stroke in the brain imaging, spinal EDH should be considered.

E-027 Matricidal cavernous aneurysms: a multicenter case series
Conclusion Matricidal aneurysms require careful consideration and planning. The restricted anatomy of the cavernous sinus can make successful execution of endovascular interventions difficult. Direct elastic compression of the parent artery does not respond to angioplasty and stenting the way that atherosclerotic stenosis does. Because of this, planning for possible parent vessel sacrifice is important. Spontaneous intracranial hypotension: clinical features in eight cases
Conclusions SIH is an under–recognised but fairly common disorder. Clinical examination is usually normal, and confirmation of the diagnosis requires investigations and treatment not used routinely in the management of headache. Investigations, including contrast–enhanced neuroimaging, are often normal in the acute or chronic phase. Clinical history taking skills are therefore paramount in recognising this disorder.
