P114/135 Drug-coated balloons for treatment of in-stent restenosis following carotid artery stenting: a major case, single center study
ConclusionIn our practice, DCB offers a straightforward option to treat restenosis of the ACI ostium. The low rate of periprocedural complications and the median time of freedom from symptoms and/or restenosis suggest that DCB angioplasty for ISRS is a viable treatment.Disclosure of InterestNothing to disclose

O06/60 Diagnosis of intracranial atherosclerosis related large vessel occlusion before endovascular treatment
ConclusionA combination of clinical and radiological variables available before EVT can accurately predict the presence of an ICAD-LVO. The ICAD-Scale could be useful to perform a rapid assessment of underlying etiology and suggest specific pathophysiology-based measures (adjunctive pharmacological treatment, angioplasty and/or intracranial stenting).Disclosure of InterestDr Molina reported receiving personal fees from AstraZeneca for consultant services outside the submitted work. P005/44 Using the pEGASUS-stent with antithrombogenic properties and single antiplatelet therapy in a case of thrombectomy
IntroductionRescue stenting is used more and more in stroke cases with large-vessel-occlusion or medium-vessel-occlusion refractory to mechanical thrombectomy. The pEGASUS-stent(Phenox) represents a device which is equipped with a hydrophilic polymer coating(HPC) with antithrombogenic properties. The coating allows for implantation under single antiplatelet therapy, thus possibly reducing the risk of bleeding in acute stroke cases.Case HistoryA 79-year-old woman was rushed to emergency room due to left-sided hemiparesis and National-Institutes-of-Health-Stroke-Scale(NIHSS) of 14. Computed-tomography-image showed an occlusi...

Retained radial catheters associated with variant radial anatomy in neurointerventional procedures
Conclusion Retained catheters for neurointerventional procedures performed via TRA are rare. However, this complication may be associated with variant radial anatomy. With the increased use of TRA for neurointerventional procedures, awareness of anatomical abnormalities that may lead to a retained catheter is necessary. We propose a simple protocol to avoid catheter entrapment, including in emergent situations such as TRA for stroke thrombectomy.

O-035 Endovascular treatment of cerebral venous thrombosis involving the deep venous system
ConclusionsAlthough deep venous involvement of CVT is uncommon, these patients are at risk of quickly becoming critically ill with an elevated rate of death or dependency. Although these patients may develop stroke, hemorrhage, or neurologic decline prompting consideration of endovascular therapy, the deep cerebral venous system is not easily accessible with catheters due to small lumens and risk of perforation. It has been proposed that deep cerebral veins may have a higher chance of recanalization if venous thrombus burden is reduced in other parts of the dural venous sinuses. Current literature has not fully explored th...

O-063 First U.S. multicenter experience using the pipeline flex embolization device with shield technology for treatment of intracranial aneurysms
ConclusionOur study is the first to report the early experience with the newly FDA-approved PED Flex with Shield technology amongst US centers. Our results are comparable with non-US, international studies showing a high technical success rate and safe peri-procedural angiographic and patient outcome. Longer follow-up will be needed to provide more robust data on angiographic and patient outcomes.Disclosures A. Kuhn: None. J. Singh: None. A. Abdelsalam: None. V. Saini: None. J. Burks: None. G. E-033 Optimization of endovascular treatment for patients with acute carotid plaque rupture and free- floating thrombus by use of two overlapping closed-cell stents with different radial force
ConclusionUse of the Carotid Wallstent as the first stent to secure the free-floating thrombus allows save delivery of the Xact stent which then adds a second closed-cell mesh layer as well as the needed radial force to expand the stent construct. This approach may decrease if not eliminate the need for post-stent angioplasty in the acute setting thus decreasing risk of thromboembolic complication.Disclosures A. Kuhn: None. J. Singh: None. S.
