The effect of on body composition: A double blind randomized placebo-controlled trial among Iranian postmenopausal women
This study aimed to investigate whether Black cumin powder exerts beneficial effects on body composition among postmenopausal women. In this randomized, double blind, placebo controlled trial 61 menopausal women aged 45–65 years (at least one year after amenorrhea history) who living in Yasuj were recruited. They should not have history of induced menopause following chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery; diagnosed cancers; take hormones or anti hypertensive, antihyperlipidemic or diabetic drugs; history of uncontrolled hypertension, myocardial infarction, stroke or have undiagnosed malignancies.
