Elevated On-Treatment Diastolic Blood Pressure and Cardiovascular Outcomes in the Presence of Achieved Systolic Blood Pressure Targets
CONCLUSION: Elevated on-treatment DBP by the JNC7 definition was associated a high risk of major cardiovascular events, while elevated DBP by the 2017 ACC/AHA definition was only associated with a higher risk of stroke. The result of study can provide evidence of DBP targets in subjects who achieved SBP targets.PMID:35388992 | DOI:10.4070/kcj.2021.0330

Higher Blood Pressure Variability in White Coat Hypertension; from the Korean Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring Registry.
CONCLUSION: From the registry data, we found that subjects with WCH or masked hypertension had higher BPV than NT. However, long-term follow-up data assessing the clinical influences of WCH on stroke are needed. PMID: 27275173 [PubMed]

Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting vs. Drug-Eluting Stent Implantation for Multivessel Disease in Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease.
CONCLUSION: Among patients with CKD and multivessel CAD, PCI with DES when compared with CABG resulted in similar rates of composite outcome of mortality from any cause, MI, or stroke; however, a higher risk of repeat revascularization was observed. PMID: 28567085 [PubMed - in process]

A Prospective Survey of Atrial Fibrillation Management for Real-world Guideline Adherence: COmparison study of Drugs for symptom control and complication prEvention of Atrial Fibrillation (CODE-AF) Registry.
CONCLUSION: This study shows how successfully guidelines can be applied in the real world. The nonadherence rate was 17.2%, 9.9%, and 22.4% for stroke prevention, rate control, and rhythm control, respectively. PMID: 29171211 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
