Minimally-invasive versus transcatheter aortic valve implantation: systematic review with meta-analysis of propensity-matched studies
CONCLUSIONS: In patients of equivalent surgical risk scores, MiAVR may be performed with lower rates of postoperative PPM requirement and AI/PVL, higher rates of AKI and no statistical difference in postoperative stroke or short-term mortality, compared to TAVI. Further prospective trials are needed to validate these results.PMID:33841958 | PMC:PMC8024828 | DOI:10.21037/jtd-20-2233

The recent 10-year landscape of aortic dissection research: a bibliometric analysis
CONCLUSIONS: This study provides interesting insights into the AD scientific landscape in recent 10 years and generates some objective evidence for comprehensive understanding and evaluation of this field. This investigation may ultimately inform managers, researchers and policymakers.PMID:33841951 | PMC:PMC8024840 | DOI:10.21037/jtd-20-3272

Identification of key immune-related genes and immune infiltration in atrial fibrillation with valvular heart disease based on bioinformatics analysis
CONCLUSIONS: The key immune-related genes and the differences in immune infiltration in LA tissues play an essential role in the occurrence and progression of AF-VHD.PMID:33841968 | PMC:PMC8024788 | DOI:10.21037/jtd-21-168
