Long-Term Use of Statins Lowering the Risk of Rehospitalization Caused by Ischemic Stroke Among Middle-Aged Hyperlipidemic Patients: A Population-Based Study
Conclusion: Statins were associated with long-term secondary prevention of reHospIS for hyperlipidemic patients. Rosuvastatin seemed to have the best protective effects. On the other hand, Bezafibrate appears to be beneficial for hyperlipidemic patients developing diabetes. Further research into the combination treatment of statin and nonstatin lipid-lowering medicines in hyperlipidemic patients developing diabetes is warranted.

Key Phytochemicals and Biological Functions of Chuanxiong Rhizoma Against Ischemic Stroke: A Network Pharmacology and Experimental Assessment
This study aimed to uncover the key phytochemicals and biological functions of CR against IS through a network pharmacology approach combining with IS pathophysiology analysis. We employed permanent unilateral common carotid artery ligation to construct a mouse model of global cerebral ischemia and found that cerebral ischemia injuries were improved after 7 days of gavage treatment of CR (1,300 mg/kg/day). Suppressing NK Cells by Astragaloside IV Protects Against Acute Ischemic Stroke in Mice Via Inhibiting STAT3
In conclusion, ASIV inhibits post-ischemic brain infiltration and activation of NK cells through STAT3 suppression, and this inhibitory effect of ASIV on NK cells plays a key role in its protection against acute ischemic brain injury. Our findings suggest that ASIV is a promising therapeutic candidate in NK cell-based immunotherapy for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke and pave the way for potential clinical trials.

Economic Evaluation of Ticagrelor Plus Aspirin Versus Aspirin Alone for Acute Ischemic Stroke and Transient Ischemic Attack

Efficacy and Safety of Xingnaojing Injection for Emergency Treatment of Acute Ischemic Stroke: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Conclusion: XNJ appears to be effective and safe for emergency treatment of AIS. The first 72 h after the onset of stroke, in particular the first 6 hours, may be the optimum initiation time. Platelet-activating factor receptor antagonists of natural origin for acute ischemic stroke: a systematic review of current evidence
Conclusions: This systematic review not only makes an important contribution to the existing body of current evidence but also lays a well-conducted basis for providing opinions and recommendation on the evaluation of PAFRA-based medicine, which could also highlight the need for well-designed clinical trials of PAFRA for AIS to increase the quality of available evidence. Further research is required, using standardized functional outcome measures for AIS, adequate blinding and suitable comparator groups reflecting current best practice.

Bioinformatics analysis and in vivo validation of ferroptosis-related genes in ischemic stroke
In conclusion, we identified four ferroptosis-related candidate genes in IS and proposed, for the first time, a possible mechanism for dexmedetomidine-mediated inhibition of ferroptosis during IS. These findings may help design novel therapeutic strategies for the treatment of IS.

As an inhibitor of norepinephrine release, dexmedetomidine provides no improvement on stroke-associated pneumonia in mice
