Cerebral embolisation during transcatheter edge-to-edge repair of the mitral valve with the MitraClip system: a prospective, observational study
CONCLUSIONS: Cerebral embolisation is immanent to TEER-MV and predominantly occurs during device interaction with the MV. Improvements to the procedure may focus on this procedural step.PMID:34916177 | DOI:10.4244/EIJ-D-21-00646

Deep Sedation versus General Anaesthesia for Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair: An Individual-Patient Data Meta-analysis of Observational Studies.
CONCLUSIONS: Both, DS and GA might offer a similar safety profile. However, ICU stay seems to be shorter after DS. PMID: 33046436 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Transcatheter Reshaping of the Mitral Annulus in Patients with Functional Mitral Regurgitation: One-year Outcomes of the MAVERIC Trial.
CONCLUSION: The ARTO™ transcatheter mitral valve repair system is both safe and effective in decreasing FMR up to one-year post-procedure. PMID: 32718911 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Stroke after MitraClip: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
CONCLUSIONS: Although with a low number of pooled events, there was a trend for a lower post-procedure stroke in TMVR when compared with SMVR and a similar one between TMVR and OMT alone. PMID: 31829941 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Incidence and in-hospital Safety Outcomes of Patients undergoing Percutaneous Mitral Valve Edge-to-Edge Repair Using MitraClip ® - 5 year German national patient sample including 13,575 implants.
CONCLUSIONS: MitraClip® implantations increased markedly 5.4-fold between 2011 and 2015, with a constant in-hospital mortality and MACCE rate. Our data indicate that edge-to-edge mitral valve repair in MitraClip® technique has acceptable in-hospital safety outcomes in a real world scenario. PMID: 30666965 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Early experience of percutaneous paravalvular leak closure using a novel Occlutech occluder.
CONCLUSIONS: The novel Occlutech Paravalvular Leak Device, which was designed specifically for mitral and aortic paravalvular regurgitation, is an additional, useful tool in the device armamentarium for the treatment of PVL. PMID: 26897292 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
