Safety and Efficacy of Ticagrelor Monotherapy According to Drug-Eluting Stent Type: The TWILIGHT-STENT Study
CONCLUSIONS: As compared with ticagrelor plus aspirin, ticagrelor monotherapy after a short DAPT duration lowered bleeding complications without increasing the ischemic risk, irrespective of DES type. We observed no significant differences among DES-types.PMID:34881696 | DOI:10.4244/EIJ-D-21-00721

Safety of Early hospital discharge following admission with ST-elevation myocardial infarction treated with percutaneous coronary intervention: a nationwide cohort study
CONCLUSIONS: Nationwide observational data suggests that early discharge of low-risk patients with STEMI treated with PCI is not associated with an increase in 1-year MACE.PMID:34338642 | DOI:10.4244/EIJ-D-21-00501

Geographical variations in left main coronary artery revascularisation: a pre-specified analysis of the EXCEL trial
CONCLUSIONS: In the EXCEL trial, the relative risks for the 30-day and five-year primary composite outcome of death, MI or stroke after PCI versus CABG were consistent irrespective of geography. However, five-year rates of IDR after PCI were significantly higher in NA centres, a finding the Heart Team and patients should consider when making treatment decisions. ClinicalTrials.gov identifier: NCT01205776.PMID:34212863 | DOI:10.4244/EIJ-D-21-00338

Clopidogrel Monotherapy in Patients with and without On-Treatment High Platelet Reactivity: a SMART-CHOICE sub-study
CONCLUSIONS: Clopidogrel monotherapy showed treatment effects comparable to DAPT for MACCE in patients with or without HPR. However, HPR was significantly associated with an increased risk of MACCE in clopidogrel-treated patients regardless of maintenance of aspirin.PMID:34031020 | DOI:10.4244/EIJ-D-21-00223
