Blood biomarker changes following therapeutic hypothermia in ischemic stroke
ConclusionAlthough the exact roles of MMP3, FABP, and IL-8 in hypothermia-treated stroke patients are not known, further exploration is needed to confirm their roles in brain ischemia.

Comparing 5G mobile stroke unit and emergency medical service in patients acute ischemic stroke eligible for t ‐PA treatment: A prospective, single‐center clinical trial in Ya'an, China
ConclusionsOur findings indicate that 5G MSU care significantly reduces the time from symptom onset to stroke diagnosis and intravenous thrombolysis in patients with AIS, resulting in improved functional outcomes compared to EMS care. As China continues its deployment of 5G technology and other digital infrastructures, the adoption of 5G MSU care on a broader scale may eventually supplant traditional stroke treatment approaches.

Lesion location and serum levels of homocysteine are associated with early ‐onset post‐stroke depression in acute ischemic stroke
ConclusionsOur study indicated that higher NIHSS score, elevated serum levels of HCY, and multiple-site lesions may be independent risk factors of early-onset PSD. The combination of HCY, NIHSS scores, multiple-site lesions, and lesion location may provide greater predictive value than HCY alone for early-onset PSD. Early intervention for elevated serum levels of HCY may be a potential target for the intervention and prevention of PSD.

Application of action observation therapy in stroke rehabilitation: A systematic review
ConclusionBased on our results, many factors will impact the effect of AOT on stroke rehabilitation, when to apply (timing) and how to apply (frequency, single, and total duration) should be fully considered when applying AOT as adjuvant therapy in stroke rehabilitation.

Characteristics of post ‐stroke dysphagia: A retrospective study based on FEES
ConclusionsThe infratentorial stroke may lead to worse swallowing function as compared to a supratentorial stroke. Additionally, patients with infratentorial stroke, PAS  >  5, PR ≥ 3, or vocal fold motion impairment may contribute to a longer duration of nasogastric tube placement.

Neutrophil ‐to‐lymphocyte ratio and its changes predict the 3‐month outcome and mortality in acute ischemic stroke patients after intravenous thrombolysis
ConclusionThe comprehensive report suggests that NLR and its dynamic changes are associated with 3-month outcome and mortality in AIS patients after IVT with good predictive powers.

Spatial patterns of intrinsic brain activity in rats with capsular stroke
ConclusionsSuch findings imply that the posterior limb of internal capsule (PLIC) is connected to these structures in function, interacts together with them, and, accordingly, the lesion of PLIC manifests the related symptoms.

Melatonin mitigates type 1 diabetes ‐aggravated cerebral ischemia‐reperfusion injury through anti‐inflammatory and anti‐apoptotic effects
ConclusionsT1DM aggravates CIRI. Melatonin treatment is neuroprotective against CIRI in T1DM rats via anti-inflammatory and anti-apoptotic effects.

Major complications associated with unfavorable outcome in right ‐sided large hemisphere infarctions: A single‐center study
ConclusionsMost of the RLHI patients have at least one stroke-related complication during hospitalization, and nearly three-quarters suffered unfavorable outcomes. Only MBE, pulmonary infection, and hypoalbuminemia are independently associated with 3-month unfavorable outcome.

Lesion patterns and mechanism analysis of acute contralateral ischemic stroke accompanying  stenosis of unilateral extracranial internal carotid artery
ConclusionDiffuse and multiple infarcts were the most common topographic patterns in ischemic stroke contralateral to internal carotid artery stenosis or occlusion. Hemodynamic impairment of the contralateral hemisphere due to hypoperfusion and blood theft is regarded as the basis of stroke occurrence. Low ischemic tolerance and embolism are the main  causes of acute ischemic stroke.

Association between ambient temperature and risk of stroke morbidity and mortality: A systematic review and meta ‐analysis
ConclusionIntegrated epidemiological evidence supports the hypothesis that both heat and cold ambient temperature have positive association with the risk of stroke morbidity and mortality. Targeted measures should be promoted in public health to reduce this risk.
