Physician Preferences when Selecting Candidates for Lower-Quality Kidney Offers
CONCLUSIONS: Physicians appear to consider the recipient characteristics that inform expected post-transplant survival score when deciding whether to accept a marginal kidney for a given recipient.PMID:37729938 | DOI:10.2215/CJN.0000000000000302

Rare Variants in Complement Gene in C3 Glomerulopathy and Immunoglobulin-Mediated Membranoproliferative Glomerulonephritis
CONCLUSIONS: In our cohort, 17% of C3 glomerulopathy/Ig-MPGN cases were associated with rare variants in the CFH, CFI, or C3 genes. In the majority of cases, a quantitative deficiency in factor H or factor I is identified. The presence of a rare variant was associated with poor kidney survival.PMID:37615951 | DOI:10.2215/CJN.0000000000000252

Comparison of Short-Term Outcomes in Kidney Transplant Recipients from SARS-CoV-2-Infected versus Noninfected Deceased Donors
CONCLUSIONS: Six-month eGFR was not significantly different between recipients of kidneys from SARS-CoV-2-infected and non-infected donors. However, those receiving kidneys from donors who died from COVID-19 had significantly lower 6-month eGFR. Donor-to-recipient SARS-CoV-2 transmission was not observed.PMID:37574663 | DOI:10.2215/CJN.0000000000000275
