Left Atrial Appendage Closure During Coronary Bypass Surgery in Patients on Hemodialysis
CONCLUSIONS: Concomitant LAA closure during CABG can reduce the risk of death and stroke in ESRD-HD patients with normal sinus rhythm.PMID:36928272 | DOI:10.1253/circj.CJ-22-0573

Long-Term Clinical Outcome of Drug-Eluting vs. Bare-Metal Stent Implantation After Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in End-Stage Renal Disease Patients on Hemodialysis - Nationwide Cohort Study in Taiwan.
CONCLUSIONS: In patients on chronic hemodialysis, implantation of DES did not have a better clinical outcome than BMS. PMID: 31019157 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Independent Factors for In-Hospital Death Following Drug-Eluting Stent Thrombosis From the Japanese Adverse Event Report System.
CONCLUSIONS: LMT, CHF, hemodialysis, prior stroke, and older age were independently associated with higher risk of in-hospital death following DES-ST. If target patients have these factors, maximum preventive strategies against ST occurrence, including adequate dual-antiplatelet therapy duration and optimal DES deployment procedures, are required. Prognostic Impact of Subclinical Microalbuminuria in Patients With Chronic Heart Failure.
Conclusions:Subclinical microalbuminuria was associated with increased risk of cardiovascular events in CHF patients with mildly reduced or preserved renal function. PMID: 25354552 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Clinical Characteristics and Long-Term Outcomes of Rotational Atherectomy - J2T Multicenter Registry.
CONCLUSIONS: This study has provided the largest Japanese dataset for long-term follow-up of RA. Although RA in calcified lesions appears feasible with a high rate of procedural success, a high incidence of MACE was observed. PMID: 28931790 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Echocardiographic Assessment of Cardiac Structural and Functional Abnormalities in Patients With End-Stage Renal Disease Receiving Chronic Hemodialysis.
CONCLUSIONS: Patients with ESRD on chronic HD have a high prevalence of cardiac structural and functional abnormalities including calcified aortic sclerosis. High age and PTH were associated with aortic valve narrowing in these patients. PMID: 29093429 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Bilateral Internal Thoracic Artery Grafting in Hemodialysis Patients
CONCLUSIONS: Bilateral internal thoracic artery grafting in HD patients did not improve mid-term outcomes, but it was also not associated with worse postoperative outcomes. Use of the bilateral internal thoracic artery may be an important option in patients with limited conduits to prevent postoperative complications.PMID:34176863 | DOI:10.1253/circj.CJ-21-0277
