Comparison of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention With Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting in Unprotected Left Main Coronary Artery Disease - 5-Year Outcome From CREDO-Kyoto PCI/CABG Registry Cohort-2.
CONCLUSIONS: CABG as compared with PCI was associated with better long-term outcome in patients with ULMCAD, especially those with high anatomical complexity. PMID: 25818902 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Comparison of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting and Medical Therapy in Non-ST Elevation Acute Coronary Syndrome Patients With 3-Vessel Disease.
CONCLUSIONS: In NSTE-ACS patients with 3VD, CABG is independently associated with a lower risk of long-term cardiac death, revascularization and MACCE compared with PCI. Patients who received MT alone had the highest risk of long-term MACCE. PMID: 32848116 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Efficacy and Safety of Adjusted-Dose Prasugrel Compared With Clopidogrel in Japanese Patients With Acute Coronary Syndrome.
Conclusions: Prasugrel 20/3.75mg was associated with a low incidence of ischemic events, similar to the results of TRITON-TIMI 38, and with a low risk of clinically serious bleeding in Japanese ACS patients. PMID: 24759796 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Prasugrel, a Third-Generation P2Y12 Receptor Antagonist, in Patients With Coronary Artery Disease Undergoing Elective Percutaneous Coronary Intervention.
Conclusions:These results support the risk-benefit profile of an adjusted dosing regimen of prasugrel in Japanese patients undergoing PCI. Larger studies are required to confirm these findings. PMID: 25342212 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Ad hoc vs. Non-ad hoc Percutaneous Coronary Intervention Strategies in Patients With Stable Coronary Artery Disease.
CONCLUSIONS: Ad hoc PCI in stable CAD patients was associated with at least comparable 5-year clinical outcomes as with non-ad hoc PCI. Considering patients' preference and the cost-saving, the ad hoc PCI strategy might be a safe and attractive option for patients with stable CAD, although the prevalence of ad hoc PCI was low in the current study population. Comparison of Minimally Invasive Direct Coronary Artery Bypass and Percutaneous Coronary Intervention Using Second-Generation Drug-Eluting Stents for Coronary Artery Disease - Propensity Score-Matched Analysis.
CONCLUSIONS: Clinical outcomes were similar between MIDCAB and PCI using second-generation DES over 3 years of follow-up. PMID: 31130585 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Surgical Ineligibility and Long-Term Outcomes in Patients With Severe Coronary Artery Disease.
CONCLUSIONS: Among patients with severe CAD, PCI-patients with surgical ineligibility had worse long-term outcomes as compared with those without surgical ineligibility and CABG-patients. PMID: 31434812 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Effects of Body Weight on Bleeding and Ischemic Events in Patients Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention - From the CREDO-Kyoto Registry Cohort-2.
CONCLUSIONS: Cumulative incidences of bleeding and ischemic events increased incrementally as BW decreased in both men and women. The adjusted risks of underweight relative to overweight for bleeding and ischemic events were significant only in women. PMID: 32893236 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Perioperative Nadir Hemoglobin Concentration and Outcome in Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery - A Retrospective Review.
CONCLUSIONS: A significant association is found between perioperative nadir Hb and adverse outcome after OPCAB. Although preoperative anemia was not associated with poor prognosisper se, it was the only modifiable risk factor that was closely linked to nadir Hb. Application of the Modified High Bleeding Risk Criteria for Japanese Patients in an All-Comers Registry of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention - From the CREDO-Kyoto Registry Cohort-3.
CONCLUSIONS: The J-HBR criteria successfully identified those patients with very high bleeding risk after PCI, who represented 64% of patients in this all-comers registry. PMID: 33298644 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Bilateral Internal Thoracic Artery Grafting in Hemodialysis Patients
CONCLUSIONS: Bilateral internal thoracic artery grafting in HD patients did not improve mid-term outcomes, but it was also not associated with worse postoperative outcomes. Use of the bilateral internal thoracic artery may be an important option in patients with limited conduits to prevent postoperative complications.PMID:34176863 | DOI:10.1253/circj.CJ-21-0277
