This study aims to investigate whether PhGs treatment improves the stroke and its potential mechanisms. Adult male C57BL/6 J mice were administrated PhGs once daily for 7 days after MCAO surgery. The neurological score, and catwalk were evaluated on Day 1, 3 and 7 after ischemic stroke. Naotaifang formula attenuates OGD/R-induced inflammation and ferroptosis by regulating microglial M1/M2 polarization through BMP6/SMADs signaling pathway
CONCLUSION: Microglial M1/M2 polarization plays a pivotal role in inflammation and ferroptosis during OGD/R. The BMP6/SMADs signaling pathway is a potential therapeutical target of inflammation and ferroptosis induced by the transformation of microglia.
