Blood pressure control and risk profile in poststroke survivors: a comparison with the general population
Conclusion: We found a high prevalence and poor control of major cardiovascular risk factors in patients surviving their first-ever ischemic stroke, thus showing poor implementation of guidelines for secondary prevention in clinical practice.

Hypertension in pregnancy is associated with elevated C-reactive protein levels later in life
Objectives:We assessed whether hypertension in pregnancy is associated with elevated C-reactive protein (CRP) levels in later life, possibly reflecting an increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD).
Background:Elevated CRP levels have been associated with hypertension in pregnancy and with CVD.
