Efficacy of Conservative Interventions for Musculoskeletal Conditions on Pain and Disability in Active Serving Military Personnel-A Systematic Review
CONCLUSIONS: Currently available randomized clinical trials do not provide sufficient evidence to guide military organizations or health care professionals in making appropriate treatment decisions to manage MSK pain in active serving military personnel. The Effect of Preoperative Behavioral Intervention on Pain, Anxiety, Opioid Use, and Function in Patients Undergoing Total Knee Arthroplasty: A Randomized Controlled Study
CONCLUSION: A cognitive-behavioral approach to preoperative education may improve postoperative pain, anxiety, and function while decreasing opioid use among TKA patients. Findings from this pilot study support further research to examine similar interventions among distinct surgical populations and encourage further evaluation on the effects of CBE to enhance health and healthcare delivery.PMID:34791356 | DOI:10.1093/milmed/usab424
