Cerebellar Peduncle Injuries in Patients with Mild Traumatic Brain Injury
CONCLUSIONS: Using DTT, we demonstrated injuries to the SCP and ICP in mild TBI patients with balance problems. Our results suggest that DTT could be a useful tool for detecting injuries to the CPs that may not be identified on conventional brain magnetic resonance imaging in mild TBI patients.PMID:37735136 | DOI:10.31083/j.jin2205121

White Matter Microstructural Differences between Essential Tremor and Parkinson Disease, Evaluated Using Advanced Diffusion MRI Biomarkers
CONCLUSIONS: Advanced diffusion-based metrics may provide a better understanding of the white matter microstructural characteristics in disparate motor-associated diseases with different underlying phenotypes, such as ET and PD.PMID:37735131 | DOI:10.31083/j.jin2205114

Regulation of "Right Ankle Dorsiflexion" Motor Imagery on Brain Function of Spinal Cord Injury: A FOCA-Based Prospective Study
CONCLUSIONS: After SCI, a series of changes in the structure and function of the brain occur. Research on brain plasticity after SCI might help explore the central mechanisms underlying functional recovery after treatments, providing more therapeutic strategies for SCI.PMID:37735119 | DOI:10.31083/j.jin2205127

Pre- and Postoperative Magnetic Resonance Imaging Comparative Studies of Pituitary Tissues Following Transsphenoidal Resection of Pituitary Macroadenomas
CONCLUSIONS: The larger the tumor diameter, the worse the pituitary morphological recovery after tumor resection. Relative locations of normal pituitary and adenoma tissues may be related to adenoma type and may affect postoperative reconstruction of residual normal pituitary tissues. These findings enable surgeons to distinguish pituitary tissue from residual or recurring tumor tissue on postoperative magnetic resonance imaging.PMID:37735115 | DOI:10.31083/j.jin2205107

Impact of Cerebral Microbleeds on Gait, Balance, and Upper Extremities Function in Cerebral Small Vessel Disease
CONCLUSIONS: CMBs were found to be associated with both gait, balance and upper extremity disturbances. The presence of CMB seems to be another major driving force for CSVD on lower and upper extremity impairment in healthy elderly subjects.PMID:37519160 | DOI:10.31083/j.jin2204082
