Survivin Dendritic Cell Vaccine Safely Induces Immune Responses and Is Associated with Durable Disease Control after Autologous Transplant in Patients with Myeloma
CONCLUSIONS: Two doses of DC:Ad-S, one given immediately before and another after ASCT, were feasible and safe. Prevalence of hepatitis B infection in the Gambian population: A narrative review of recent developments
This study reviewed the recent trends in the epidemiological characteristics of HBV in the Gambia. The researchers conducted an online literature search for primary studies on HBV prevalence published in the past two decades from Jan 1992 to Feb 2022 inclusive on Google Scholar, PubMed, and Scopus. Enhanced systemic tumor suppression by in situ vaccine combining radiation and OX40 agonist with CpG therapy
CONCLUSION: This triple combining in situ vaccine induced intensive antitumor responses, mediated effective systemic tumor control and survival benefit, and displayed impressive synergistic antitumor effect with checkpoint blockade therapy. An update on one-dose HPV vaccine studies, immunobridging and humoral immune responses - A meeting report
This report summarises the discussions and lessons learned on two topics: an update on one-dose HPV vaccination studies and humoral immune responses upon HPV vaccination. Long-term follow-up studies from Costa Rica (eleven years) and India (ten years) report stable levels of antibodies after a single HPV vaccination. High vaccine effectiveness against incident persistent HPV 16/18 infection was seen in India (95.4%, 85.0-99.9) ten years postvaccination and in Kenya (97.5%, 81.7-99.7) eighteen months postvaccination, an important observation in a setting with a higher HPV prevalence.
