Factors associated with ischemic stroke on therapeutic anticoagulation in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation.
CONCLUSION: NVAF patients with high CHADS₂/CHA₂DS₂-VASc scores and a previous ischemic stroke or smoking history are at high risk of stroke despite optimal warfarin treatment. Some other measures to reduce the risk of stroke would be necessary in those specific groups of patients.

Characteristics of inpatient care and rehabilitation for acute first-ever stroke patients.
CONCLUSION: Our analysis revealed that a relatively small portion of patients who suffered from an acute first-ever stroke received rehabilitation consultation and inpatient rehabilitation treatment. Thus, applying standardized clinical practice guidelines for post-acute rehabilitation care is needed to provide more effective and efficient rehabilitation services to patients with stroke.

Increased Risk of Cardiovascular Events in Stroke Patients Who had Not Undergone Evaluation for Coronary Artery Disease.
CONCLUSION: Acute stroke patients who underwent MDCT experienced fewer deaths, cardiovascular events, and recurrent strokes during follow-up.

CHA ₂DS₂-VASc Score in the Prediction of Ischemic Stroke in Patients after Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation of Typical Atrial Flutter.
CONCLUSION: CHA₂DS₂-VASc score is useful in a prediction model for the risk of stroke after catheter ablation of typical AFL.

Beneficial effects of stroke-unit care in stroke patients with atrial fibrillation.
Conclusion: SU care improved the detection of AF and the rate of anticoagulation consideration in acute stroke patients. Our findings support the benefits of continuous cardiac monitoring in the SU for stroke patients.

Long-term mortality according to the characteristics of early neurological deterioration in ischemic stroke patients.
CONCLUSION: The results of the present study demonstrated that END is associated with higher mortality and the effects of END on short-term and long-term mortality depend on END characteristics.
