Spontaneous cervical epidural haematoma mimicking stroke: a  case report and literature review
Folia Neuropathol. 2022;60(2):261-265. doi: 10.5114/fn.2022.116940.ABSTRACTSpontaneous spinal epidural haematoma (SSEH) is a rare disease that requires emergency decompression or haematoma evacuation to prevent permanent neurological deficits. Hemiparesis is an extremely rare presentation of SSEH, commonly misdiagnosed as stroke. With the help of case studies and references, this paper comprehensively discusses the effective methods to distinguish SSEH from stroke and provides theoretical support and ideas for rapid and accurate identification of SSEH. Herein, we report on the case of a 51-year-old man with SSEH who presen...

Low-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation to the right Broca mirror area for improving auditory comprehension in a  sensory aphasia after stroke: a case report
This study reported one stroke patient with sensory aphasia who received 6 treatment sessions of low-frequency rTMS before speech and language therapy. The target area was the Broca mirror area in the right hemisphere. After treatment, the auditory comprehension of the patient improved from 46 to 112, the naming improved from 18 to 32, and the AQ improved from 34.2 to 42.6. However, the level of functional language, spontaneous speech and repetition did not show obvious improvement.PMID:35950478 | DOI:10.5114/fn.2022.118188

Relation of post-stroke headachto cerebrovascular pathology and hemodynamics
In conclusion, post-stroke headache is a common phenomenon, especially in patients with pre-stroke headache, history of old stroke, posterior circulation infarction, and large artery disease. This headache was of moderate-intensity with clinical characteristics of tension-type. Intra-cranial cerebrovascular pathological changes including opening of collateral channels and variable degrees of stenosis of cerebrovascular systems were implicated in the production of that headache.PMID:35950474 | DOI:10.5114/fn.2022.116962

Identification of a  miRNA biomarker for the large artery atherosclerosis subtype of acute ischemic stroke
CONCLUSIONS: miR-129-1-3p may be a relevant biomarker for the diagnosis of stroke caused by large artery atherosclerosis and could represent a novel therapeutic target for stroke treatment.PMID:35950473 | DOI:10.5114/fn.2022.117248

Effect of transcranial direct current stimulation combined with a  smart hand joint training device on hand dysfunction in patients with early stroke
CONCLUSIONS: Both the smart hand joint training device alone and tDCS combined with the smart hand joint training device can improve hand function of patients with early stroke to varying degrees, but the treatment effect of tDCS combined with the smart hand joint training device is more significant.PMID:35950470 | DOI:10.5114/fn.2022.117534
