Comparative Matched Outcome of Evolut-R vs CoreValve Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation.
CONCLUSION: This study indicates that the efficacy and safety of the self-expandable second-generation Evolut-R transcatheter valve is at least comparable with the first-generation CoreValve. The observed improved performance in correct positioning of a single valve and the numerically lower chance to suffer a combined TAVI endpoint needs further investigation.

Thirty-Day Outcomes in 100 Consecutive Patients Undergoing Transfemoral Aortic Valve Replacement With the Portico Valve on an All-Comer Basis.
CONCLUSIONS: Our immediate and 30-day post-TAVR results support favorable survival comparable to other studies, and significant clinical improvement with the Portico valve in non-selected patients in a real-world setting, with short-term complications being uncommon.

Impact of Switching From Prasugrel to Clopidogrel Shortly After a Percutaneous Coronary Intervention Without a Loading Dose of Clopidogrel.
CONCLUSIONS: In this small, retrospective analysis, the results of loading patients with prasugrel for PCI and switching them to clopidogrel without a loading dose appear to be encouraging.

Sapien 3 Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation With Moderate or Without Predilation.
CONCLUSIONS: Balloon-expandable TAVI using the S3 device with moderate or without balloon PD is feasible and safe. Omission of PD in appropriate cases was associated with reduced fluoroscopy time and total contrast used without affecting procedural success.

Initial Single-Center Experience With the Fully Repositionable Transfemoral Lotus Aortic Valve System.
CONCLUSION: Our first real-time experience with the fully repositionable Lotus TAVR system mimics the results of early clinical studies like REPRISE II. Further next-generation modifications in combination with gaining experience with this new device will likely reduce the need for new permanent pacemaker implantation and vascular complications in the future.

Transfemoral Transcatheter Aortic Valve-in-Valve Implantation for Aortic Valve Bioprosthesis Failure With the Fully Repositionable and Retrievable Lotus Valve: A Single-Center Experience.
CONCLUSIONS: Transfemoral VIV-TAVI for the treatment of surgical aortic bioprosthesis failure with the Lotus device appears to be safe and is associated with no significant residual aortic regurgitation, and offers favorable transvalvular hemodynamics at 30-day follow-up.

Safety of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention Without P2Y12 Inhibitor Pretreatment From a Cohort of Unselected Patients.
CONCLUSIONS: In an unselected population admitted for elective PCI or NSTEMI in real-world clinical practice, administration of a P2Y12 inhibitor only after coronary angiography is associated with a low rate of ischemic and bleeding events at 30 days.

A Direct Comparison of Self-Expandable Portico Versus Balloon-Expandable Sapien 3 Devices for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement: A Case-Matched Cohort Study.
CONCLUSIONS: Short-term clinical and hemodynamic outcomes were similar with Portico and Sapien 3 prostheses; no statistically significant differences were observed in mortality and major complication rates. An individually tailored prosthesis choice is suggested.

Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation in Patients With Pre-Existing Mechanical Mitral Valve Prostheses.
CONCLUSION: TAVI in patients with mechanical MVR is challenging and requires careful preparation and choice of TAVI device. Repositionable and retrievable devices seem to be a safer option.

Impact of Severity of Chronic Kidney Disease on Management and Outcomes Following Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement With Newer-Generation Transcatheter Valves.
CONCLUSIONS: In this prospective study of adults undergoing TAVR with newer-generation THVs, moderate and severe CKD was associated with a nearly 2-fold and 3-fold higher risk of 30-day readmission, respectively.
