E-132 A retrospective analysis of stroke code specificity in predicting acute ischemic events
ConclusionsThis retrospective analysis of stroke codes at MGUH during a 6-month period was 29% specific in predicting AIS. This is significantly lower than what was found in previous studies. Of stroke mimics, TME was the major etiology encompassing 43.6% of cases. The results of our study suggest additional stroke education may be needed for non-neurologists and ancillary staff to appropriately recognize stroke symptoms to better improve the utilization of hospital resources and provide appropriate and efficient care.Disclosures A. Conclusion Matricidal aneurysms require careful consideration and planning. The restricted anatomy of the cavernous sinus can make successful execution of endovascular interventions difficult. Direct elastic compression of the parent artery does not respond to angioplasty and stenting the way that atherosclerotic stenosis does. P-015 Implementation of a cognitive dysfunction screening protocol after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage
ConclusionWe successfully implemented an evidence-based screening protocol for cognitive dysfunction after aSAH. Most of these patients did exhibit cognitive dysfunction using the MoCA despite a good functional recovery, defined as mRS score <2. Screening only with the mRS is inadequate to identify the substantial cognitive dysfunction within this patient population. P-001 Residual in-stent carotid stenosis and cigarette smoking are predictors of restenosis after stenting (CAS)
ConclusionWe present the largest single-center data in the US to date on carotid artery stenosis treated with CAS, and factors associated with restenosis. Residual in-stent carotid stenosis and smoking history were independent predictors.
