Educational and Exercise Intervention to Prevent Falls and Improve Participation in Subjects With Neurological Conditions: The NEUROFALL Randomized Controlled Trial

One-Year Analysis of Risk Factors Associated With Cognitive Impairment in Newly Diagnosed Epilepsy in Adults
This study aimed to identify factors associated with CI in adult patients with newly diagnosed epilepsy. Cardiac Structure and Function Is Associated With Hemispatial Neglect Severity
Conclusions: We found an association between markers of diastolic dysfunction (enlarging LV, compensatory enlarging LA) and severity of neglect, suggesting that cardiac structure, and function affects not only lesion volume, but also the functional consequences of infarct volume.

Women's reproductive traits and cerebral small-vessel disease: A two-sample Mendelian randomization study
ConclusionOur findings do not convincingly support a causal effect of women's reproductive factors on CSVD. Future studies are warranted to investigate specific estrogen-related physiological changes in women, which may inform current researchers on the causal mechanisms involved in cerebral small-vessel disease progression.

Mind the gap: trajectory of cognitive development in young individuals with sickle cell disease: a cross-sectional study
ConclusionAge-related cognitive trajectories of CYA-SCD may not be impaired but may progress more slowly. Longitudinal studies are required, using tests unaffected by practice. In addition to initiation of medical treatment, including measures to improve arterial oxygen content, early cognitive intervention, educational support, and delivery of extracurricular activities could support cognitive development for CYA-SCD.Graphical Abstract

Web-based psychoeducational interventions for managing cognitive impairment –a systematic review
ConclusionWeb-based cognitive intervention programs are a new approach to rehabilitation and patient education. The evidence, although scarce, shows that web-based interventions are feasible and support subjective cognitive functioning. However, the literature to date is extremely limited and the quality of the studies is weak.
