IJERPH, Vol. 18, Pages 5749: Prospective Study on Factors Associated with Referral of Patients with Opioid Maintenance Therapy from Specialized Addictive Disorders Centers to Primary Care
Conclusions: In daily practice, a center specialized in addictive disorders referred OMT management to PCPs for a majority of patients, and benefits regarding substance use disorders severity and quality of life remained stable after referral. Our results need to be confirmed.

IJERPH, Vol. 18, Pages 1425: What Differs between Patients under Methadone and under Buprenorphine for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) in Daily Clinical Practice in France? A Short Report
Conclusions: In daily clinical practice, somatic damage was significantly more severe among MTD patients. Age and route of administration also differed, and our results could raise the issue of the type of OMT prescribed in case of non-medical use of prescribed opioids. These hypothesis should be confirmed in larger studies.

We examined the association between the legalization of recreational marijuana and prescription opioid distribution in Colorado. Utah and Maryland, two states that had not legalized recreational marijuana, were selected for comparison. Prescription data reported to the Drug Enforcement Administration for nine opioids used for pain (e.g., fentanyl, morphine, hydrocodone, hydromorphone, oxycodone, oxymorphone) and two primarily for opioid use disorder (OUD, methadone and buprenorphine) from 2007 to 2017 were evaluated.
