Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTINTRODUCTION: In randomized trials, direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC) were non-inferior to the vitamin-K-antagonist (VKA) warfarin in preventing stroke/embolism in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF).
